  • 2022

    Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been renamed to match with the English translation.

  • 2020

    Bachelor Program of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was established.

  • 2018.8.1

    The College of EECS was officially established on 1st August.

  • 2017

    The University Affair Meeting of NCHU approved the proposal for establishing the College of EECS.

  • 2012

    The Graduate Institute of Information Network and Multimedia was merged with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

  • 2007

    The Department of Computer Science has been renamed as Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

  • 2005

    After being approved by the Ministry of Education, the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering and Graduate Institute of Optoelectronic Engineering separated from the Department of Electrical Engineering and functioned independently.

    The Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the Graduate Institute of Information Network and Multimedia.

  • 2002

    Merging with the Computer Science Division in the Department of Applied Mathematics, the Institute of Computer Science became the Department of Computer Science with undergraduate, master′s, and PhD programs, and provided a complete cultivation program for computer science.

  • 2001

    The Department of Electrical Engineering established the PhD program and expanded its undergraduate student program to become the largest department in NCHU.

  • 1998

    The Institute of Computer Science up the PhD program.

  • 1996

    The Department of Electrical Engineering up the master′s program.

  • 1992

    College of Science and the College of Engineering established The Institute of Computer Science and Department of Electrical Engineering, respectively.

  • 1988

    The College of Science and the College of Engineering were separated from The College of Science and Engineering and become independent colleges.
